How It Works
When you book your Life Story Video we will schedule a time to consult with you by telephone or come to your home for a one on one interview. At that time we will help you select topics that will become the chapters of your Life Story, such as:
growing up
college life
military
career
meeting and marriage
family
community involvement
travel
life lessons
The Interview Process
Typically, the interview will take 4-5 hours to complete, depending upon the location, lighting, and equipment. Our caring interviewer will guide you through the process, with your comfort and well being always our most important concern. If you are like most people, you'll forget about the camera and engage in the friendly conversation. We will do what we can to make the process of telling your stories most enjoyable. The important thing is to just be yourself and the stories will come out naturally.
What Next?
Once the interview is complete we will take the footage back to our studio to begin the editing. This is where the real magic happens! Depending on your needs, we will do research, add meaningful music, photographs, home movies or slides. Captions can be added to name people or places, and narration can be used to weave the elements of your story together. Footage of world events, such as WWII or Ellis Island, give your Life Story video the look and feel of a documentary film.
How Long Does It Take?
Your Life Story Video will be ready in 12-16 weeks, time for our editor to skillfully craft your story. You will get Sneak Peeks along the way to share with family and friends.
Screening Party
